About CRP

Catalytic Residue Prediction is a web service that identify potentially active sites in enzymes.

Method

Support Vector Machines (SVM) were used to automatically produce annotation of homologous and nonhomologous catalitic residue positions in enzymes based on a specific training set of residue functions. The methods evaluate features like sequence, sequence alignments, three-dimensional structure, and structural environment conservation and providing a rank for their ability to discriminate catalytic from noncatalytic residues.
This method is maintained at the Buck Institute for Age Research in the Laboratory of Sean Mooney
